Mediator & Teaching Associate
Aaron Hudson-Tyreman is a barrister, an accredited mediator and a university lecturer on dispute resolution.
From 1988 to 2000 he served in the British Army, rose to the rank of Captain in the Intelligence Corps and operated in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Kosovo.
Since leaving the services, he was Assistant Director & Senior Lecturer of the Centre of Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, Kings College London for three years, and is continuing his academic career as the Clive M. Schmitthoff Scholar at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University London, where he is completing his PhD on “Traits of the Mediator”. He currently sits on the Academic Committee of UK Civil Mediation Council.
Aaron became an accredited mediator in 2010 through the UK Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, where he served as its Director of Research & Education for two years. He specializes in commercial mediation's across a broad range of areas, such as partnership disputes, construction, contract & property issues.
In preparation for his PhD, Aaron studied Psychometrics and Psychology under Professor John Rust at Cambridge University where he became proficient in the use of psychometric evaluation tools.
Aaron received his LLM in Mediation from City University in London; an MA in Law from the University of Leeds; Post-Graduate Diplomas in Law from Inns of Court School of Law in London and Leeds Metropolitan University and a BSc in Building Surveying from Leeds Metropolitan University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Architects and a member of the British Psychological Society. He was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 2006.
