The Negotiation Lab has extensive experience in working with a wide range of governments and multi-lateral organizations on issues of international trade negotiations, foreign direct investment, aid-for-trade, and engaging stakeholders in civil society.
In March & December 2009; October 2010 and October 2011, the Negotiation Lab trained a total of 39 North Korean diplomats in Canterbury as part of a cultural program sponsored by the British Government and facilitated by the Pilgrims Langauge School. The diplomats were from the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Ministry of Foreign Trade; the Foreign Trade Bank; the State Committee for Coodinating Translation & Technology; the State Committee for Cultural Relationships with Foreign Contries and the Institute for Disarmament and Peace. The workshops also included professors from Kim Il Sung University and the University of Foreign Language Studies.
